Use cases:
BeLazy supports integration with Phrase Strings through a comprehensive connector that enables seamless localization project management. There are two main use cases where the Phrase Strings integration comes in handy:
- You need to coordinate translation and review resources across multiple Phrase Strings projects while supporting both online and offline translation workflows.
- Your customers create localization projects in their Phrase Strings instances and assign jobs to you, and you want to automatically manage these assignments in your business management system,
BeLazy connects Phrase Strings with any business management system or tracker, and allows:
- Job listing with all project details, including workflow and volume information,
- Project creation in a business management system or tracker from Phrase Strings job assignments,
- Linguist assignment monitoring in Phrase Strings, and reassigning linguists in the business management system or tracker,
- Linguist assignment monitoring in the business management system or tracker, and reassigning linguists in Phrase Strings,
- XLIFF file export and import for offline translation workflows,
- Closing Phrase Strings jobs when corresponding jobs are closed in the business management system or tracker.
Integration type:
The Phrase Strings integration utilizes the official Phrase Strings API with comprehensive access permissions including read, write, and team management capabilities. This API-based approach ensures reliable connectivity and full feature support while respecting Phrase Strings' permission system and project security settings.
Requirements:
You need an API token with three access types: read, write, and team.manage. API keys are available for every Phrase Strings user.
The user whose API key you are using must have at least one of the following user types with sufficient permissions:
- Owner: Can see all jobs across all projects
- Administrator: Can see all jobs across all projects
- Project Manager: Can only see jobs in projects they are assigned to
Workflow configuration requirement: Phrase Strings supports both Basic and Advanced review workflows. Since the API doesn't indicate which workflow is being used, for Advanced workflows you must add a project variable with name workflow and value advanced. Without this variable, BeLazy treats the workflow as Basic.
Expected URL format:
The URL is always https://app.phrase.com.
Phrase Strings-specific configuration:
API authentication:
- API token setup: Generate an API token in your Phrase account by logging in, selecting your username in the header, choosing "Profile settings", then "Access tokens" from the menu. Generate a new token with read, write, and team.manage scope, then copy the access token to BeLazy.
Billing and analysis configuration:
- Charging basis selection: Choose whether you charge customers by word or key count. This determines how receivables are created in your business management system. Both word and key counts need to be mapped in the unit mapping regardless of your selection.
