WorldServer (now RWS WorldServer) is an enterprise translation management system. Enterprises use this system for managing complex translation and localization workflows, and language service providers generally connect to the system to receive and deliver work.
Use cases:
BeLazy supports integration with WorldServer through a comprehensive connector that enables seamless translation project management. BeLazy connects WorldServer with any business management system or tracker, and allows:
- Task step listing with all details, including analysis and scoping estimates,
- Project creation in a business management system or tracker, including bundling task steps into tasks or projects or project groups,
- Claiming and unclaiming task steps, downloading and uploading translation packages generated by Worldserver,
- Delivery monitoring in WorldServer, and closing the corresponding jobs in the business management system or tracker.
Integration type:
The WorldServer integration utilizes the official REST API provided by SDL/RWS WorldServer. The integration provides functionality for Translator accounts. If you need BeLazy to support other roles, get in touch.
Requirements:
You need your WorldServer translator username and password. The integration requires access to the WorldServer REST API endpoints and proper user permissions to access projects, tasks, and workflow management functions.
Expected URL format:
The URL format is typically: https://your-server:port/
where your-server is your WorldServer instance hostname and port is the configured port number (commonly 8080). The exact URL depends on your WorldServer deployment configuration. If you have difficulties with the connection, contact us or your WorldServer administrator.
