The Acolad Tempo Partner Portal is a vendor portal designed for Acolad's vendors, including freelance linguists, and language service providers working for Acolad. It serves as the primary interface for Acolad's global network of professionals to receive project assignments, manage tasks, and handle invoicing processes. The integration is designed to streamline workflow management while maintaining efficiency for translation service providers working with Acolad.

Use cases:

BeLazy supports integration with Acolad Tempo through a specialized connector that enables seamless vendor workflow management. BeLazy connects the Acolad Partner Portal with any business management system or tracker, and allows:

  • Offer and task listing with all project details, including specifications and instructions,
  • Project creation in a business management system or tracker from Acolad assignments,
  • Offer acceptance and task status monitoring from the Partner Portal,
  • Delivery monitoring and completion tracking,
  • Downloading of Purchase Orders,
  • Automated workflow management for small project assignments.

Integration type:

The Acolad Tempo integration impersonates users through the internal APIs used in the vendor portal communication. This approach enables BeLazy to access and synchronize vendor assignments without requiring special API access from Acolad.

Requirements:

You need your Acolad Partner Portal username and password. You must be an active vendor in Acolad's system to receive project assignments through the portal.

Expected URL format:

The URL is always https://partner.acolad.com/.

Acolad Tempo-specific configuration:

There are no specific settings to set up to connect to Acolad Tempo. When mapping your customers to your business management systems, use the CommonTaskCode as exception, and set up the different Acolad entities based on the starting two characters of CommonTaskCode. For example, AI stands for Acolad Ireland, TF stands for Acolad France.

Functionalities and connector-specific information:

  • Unit of acceptance: Individual translation/localization tasks (one source and one target language)
  • Tasks and offers: tasks are jobs that are directly assigned to you. Offers are jobs that you can take. BeLazy lists both and with auto-approval you can take offers and jobs automatically.
  • Multiple target languages: Supported through bundling
  • Specialization, End Client, Workflow: Task details including customer name, contact information, instructions, task type, entity, etc.
  • Project exclusion: Not supported - all active tasks are synchronized
  • Download source files: Supported - task materials and Purchase Order PDFs downloaded
  • Delivery: Manual delivery monitoring supported; automated delivery planned for future implementation
  • Linguist assignment: Tempo does not support linguist assignment
  • Project bundling: Supported
  • 2-factor authentication: Tempo does not require 2-factor authentication
  • Pricing: Purchase Order PDF download supported; analysis parsing planned for future implementation. Total price and weighted word count available.
  • Legal entity Mapping: Tempo codes mapped to corresponding legal entities

Typical issues and how to resolve them:

  • Project bundling and workflow structure: Each workflow in Tempo is single-step. You can use the job bundling to turn consecutive steps such as separate translation, revision into one workflow in your business management system or tracker. For tasks like LQA or LSO for the same project, we recommend using task bundling, meaning they are added under the same project in Plunet, XTRF Classic and any custom integration under a new task or item. Daily and monthly project bundling and project bundling creating one project with different language pairs are supported.
  • Instruction mapping: All instructions are extracted from the various instruction fields in Tempo, and can be automatically reused in your customizable, client and program-specific instructions to the project managers and the vendors.
  • Synchronization: By default, the connector is synchronized every 30 minutes, but you can also synchronize immediately once an email with a new job offer comes in.
