Rate mapping helps you align the fuzzy match discounts between your translation tools and your business management system (BMS).
On this screen:
The left side shows the rates from your vendor portal or TMS.
The right side shows the corresponding rates in your BMS.
The goal is to connect (or map) each source rate to the right target rate.
Where the rates come from
XTRF: BeLazy can only work with the “Other” rate card under TM rates in the price profile.
That’s why all price profiles used with BeLazy should have:Default CAT tool: Other
Default TM rates type: Percentage
You set this up earlier when configuring the customer.
Protemos: manages rates through CAT log conversion templates under the Project menu.
BeLazy uses the SDL Trados 2017 (cross-file reps + internal fuzzy + locked) template because it offers the most complete rate table.BMS API: the rates come from the JSON file you uploaded or added directly in BeLazy.
How to map the rates
Each rate includes a percentage value that may vary by client.
For example:
Customer A pays 30% for a 100% match.
Customer B pays 20% for the same match type.
You’ll see all the rate categories from your TMS on the left, and the corresponding target rates on the right.
Match each one to ensure they align correctly.
Tips for accurate mapping
Some systems are simpler than others — Phrase TMS, Symfonie, and Junction can be more complex, especially in XTRF where there are more source rate types than target.
In those cases:
You might see more source values than target values.
You can map multiple source values to one target, but don’t mix different percentages in the same line.
If BeLazy detects inconsistent percentages, it will show a warning icon.
Focus on getting the most common combinations right.
If something doesn’t match perfectly, you can still move forward — and if a project later raises an issue, BeLazy will flag it so you can correct the mapping.
Special notes for Phrase TMS users
Phrase TMS may show extra values because of its default net rate scheme, which separates translation memory, machine translation, and non-translatable matches.
In most cases, the TM rates are what matter most — and usually, your final percentages come from your BMS, not from Memsource itself, even though BeLazy can process pricing coming from Phrase TMS as well (net rate schemes and price lists).
