BeLazy has many powerful APIs that allow the extension and fine-tuning of functionalities:
- you can create projects using the Project Ingestion (workspace) API. Connecting this with an orchestrator's many API-based connections allow easy setup of ticketing system or online file repository connections.
- your customer may send you incorrect project briefings in their systems. Using BeLazy's Update opportunity API you can update the information, or add extra processing data that you can use in your configurations. For example, some of our customers built special bundling rules with these capabilities, bundling projects to avoid minimum fees.
- your BMS project may need updates after it is created. For example, you may want the deadlines to be in office hours. The BMS Extension APIs allow you to handle such requirements.
- you may want to set up specific notifications, for example via Whatsapp, that BeLazy does not support out of the box. BeLazy sends a webhook, and the orchestrator responds.
- you may want to push data into systems we cannot foresee.
BeLazy has two native, Javascript-based orchestration capabilities, Google Apps Script and BeLazy's own Javascript instruction framework. However, if the scope of tools and integrations within BeLazy is not enough, an orchestrator is often a good tool to extend the technology stack with.
BeLazy's traditional orchestration partner is Make.com. It is a general-purpose, visual tool with thousands of integrations, BeLazy being one of them.
Several customers are using n8n and ActivePieces, though a native BeLazy app does not exist, these tools can read the API definition of BeLazy and create the appropriate automations.
AI agents such as Claude Cowork also drive BeLazy's simple APIs without difficulty.
Our general observation is that orchestrators are very good for simple scenarios with up to 10 steps. Afterwards the complexity increases, and maintenance becomes hard. Orchestrators also have app versions, which some systems handle seamlessly, others require manual updates. For more complex scenarios we recommend code execution, which can be vibe-coded. BeLazy's Google Sheet integration offers a readily available location to host this code (in Google Apps Script), even if the code reaches various different systems.
