BeLazy's main relation is that a project coming from the BeLazy Content and Project Hub gets created in the Business Management Hub. For companies that never worked with a business management system such as Plunet or XTRF this may sound weird. Why isn't the TMS the main system?

Translation management systems are importing files, managing the actual text conversion, translation memories, linguistic aspects. They evolved to deal with a multi-user environment, but their goal is always primarily the production of translations, manually or through automations.

Business management is about knowing who did what, whom to pay what, whom to charge what, what is the current state of all the projects, regardless of whether they can be imported into a translation management system or not (for example because they need desktop publishing or dubbing), it is about finding the right human or automated vendor for the right work, it is about evaluating vendors not only from the quality perspective but also from punctuality perspective, it is about being able to foresee what extra scalability the supply chain has, and so on and so forth. Business management is very important, but in many organizations with simpler workflows, business management exists in spreadsheets and JIRA or Asana tickets.

Therefore if you don't have a business management system, BeLazy will offer you one which fits your existing pattern of work: the Google Sheet integration. From there you can further automate JIRA or Asana, Notion or Confluence, as all the data is centered in Google Sheet. Nobody will ever have to create spreadsheets from the running projects manually or through exports - this data is readily available and always up-to-date. And it perfectly connects to beautiful, outcome-based dashboards as well.

BeLazy's approach of automatically filling a spreadsheet with the business information in a scalable way is a post-BMS approach: it highlights the importance of having a localization ledger, it supports the cause of reporting, but it does it so without requiring much efforts from the user.

So if you don't have a business management system, in order to use BeLazy, you must set up a blank BMS within BeLazy the same way as if you were setting up a custom system integration, and then if you want to see the data in real time, you can activate the Google Sheet integration. If your organization does not allow that, but you are interested in using BeLazy, get in touch.
