The Linguist Information report describes the relationship between the BeLazy projects - which are client-related deliveries - and the currently assigned linguists to these projects. It is not only giving insights into how linguists deliver, but also gives insights about project management practices, how long projects take the assign to linguists - which may be due to late assignment by the project managers or linguists taking long to accept the tasks.

The Linguist information report looks at deliveries back into the origin system, and separates information about already delivered projects from information currently being delivered. It works with normalized data (e.g. hours, pages, etc. are all normalized into word counts), and highlights linguist speed, how much time is given to each linguist, how early or late they normally deliver, how likely are they to miss a deadline, etc.

The Undelivered, assigned tasks per linguists report gives information about how likely linguists are going to deliver on time. Minimum speed is probably the most interesting measure: with the currently assigned projects, how many words does this linguist need to deliver each day in order to meet every single deadline. If you see that this number is above the reasonable daily output, consider reassigning some work.

You can also see per connection how many tasks do not have a linguist assigned where linguist monitoring is enabled. And if you want to deep-dive into this data, download the raw data in a spreadsheet.

This report is mostly useful for companies working with individual translators. It gives information about project management practices (how much time goes without linguist assignment, how automated is linguist assignment), it gives information about reliable vs unreliable translators, and it gives information about overloading the linguists. The special nature of this report is that the deadlines are always the client deadlines, the delivery is the client delivery, so system does not look at the internally set up project deadlines, rather it looks at the successful on-time client delivery as a factor of linguist efficiency.

Use this report to introduce vendor automation, see how agile project managers perform vendor assignment, identify daily vendor capacity/throughput, understand whose deadline commitments can you fully trust (thus follow-ups are not needed), and foresee situations when vendors won't deliver on time.
